On-Site Document Shredding FAQs

How much space is required for the shredding truck?

 Our mobile shredding trucks are fitted with industrial-grade machinery and are larger than standard commercial vehicles. We require a clear, unobstructed area—approximately 12 metres in length and 6 metres in width—for safe operation. If access is limited, please speak with our team to explore alternatives. 

Can I witness the destruction of my documents?

 Yes. With our on-site shredding service, you’re welcome to witness the process firsthand for added peace of mind. CCTV footage of the shredding is also available on request. 

Do I need to remove files, plastics, or binders before shredding?

Not at all. Our on-site team will pre-sort your documents for you, making the process stress and hassle free. Should you wish to pre-sort yourself prior to your shredding service we are happy to drop our secure lockable bins for your team to use. A bin drop-off fee will be determined based on your location and your welcome to keep the bins for 5 working days free or charge, any additional days will be charged at a rental rate of R20 per bin per day. 

How long does it take to shred documents?

Our mobile units can shred up to 4 tons of paper per day under ideal conditions.

Do you need to plug into our power?

Absolutely not, otherwise you might as well be shredding yourselves. All our mobile units are equipped with their own independent power supply and are 100% self-sufficient.
