Drop-Off Document Shredding FAQs
Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes. While drop-offs are welcome, they are strictly by appointment only to ensure availability and operational efficiency.
How is the price calculated for drop-offs?
Drop-off pricing is based on total document weight in 50 kilogram increments, starting from as little as 50kg.
Can I watch my documents being shredded?
Yes, provided that prior arrangements are made with your sales representatives. For document shredding witnessing we kindly request that the customer pre-sorts prior to brining the documents to allow for an instant shred.
This involves separating white paper from coloured paper and removing any plastic sleeves and files. Don’t worry about staples and paper clips.
Do I need to remove files, plastics, or binders before shredding?
For our drop off service, we regrettably do not accept plastic sleeves or other general waste that does not hold confidential or intellectual information as it hinders our processing efficiencies.
Should your drop-off be contaminated with such items, a contamination fee of R40 per bin will be applicable.
Can I bring other items for shredding that are not documents?
Yes you may, however this will attract a different shred cost. Please keep these items separate from your documents and contact your sales representative to get exact pricing for these products.
